The first part discusses the essence of Integrated IT Systems and attempts to apply the system’s logic to the traditional model of hospital functioning. The second part analyses current information about IT sector trends and possible applications of modern technologies in healthcare units. The third part of the paper discusses the potential of computerising the medical sector as an element of helping hospitals function more effectively.
